To improve client satisfaction, our underlying approach is always to put clients at the heart of everything we do. This means moving away from a product-driven sales approach where we push products. Instead, we listen closely to what you have to say and work hard to be chosen by you as a true wealth management partner.
For instance, your needs extend beyond just investments. You may require services for all your assets, including protecting your assets in case of death. To respond to these needs, we established an organizations where no two clients will be treated the same – our service will be personal to you. Whether you need advice on a specific area or a full financial plan, we can work with you to make sure your finances continue to reflect your lifestyle, goals and dreams.
We look at every aspect of your finances, to understand how advice in one area may affect or depend on others. But, for those who ask “how do we do it?” We say four things:
1. We offer independent, objective financial advice
Although we work with some of South Africa’s largest financial service providers, we are a truly independent wealth management business. We are free of the traditional conflicts of interest common in our industry. Our independence allows us to recommend products from any financial service provider, without any preference for any company’s products. As an independent wealth manager, our primary focus is on the delivery of exceptional client outcomes.
2. A team working together for you
Our wealth managers, traders and investment professionals work hand-in-hand to design strategies to help you achieve your financial goals. We believe that with multiple specialists working together you get a much better outcome. We invest time and genuine interest in client relationships to gain a clear and comprehensive understanding of your goals. We are experienced in key areas that matter to you. These break into four broad disciplines: wealth management services, investment advisory, retirement and estate planning.
3. Complete transparency of all fees and charges
There is no charge for your first conversation with a wealth manager. And we will always agree all fees in writing before working together. Fees are usually based on the complexity of the advice that you require and whether we are advising you on your overall finances. Our fees may also be based on a percentage of the value of assets that you invest with us. To make it easier for you to compare our fees, we will always disclose the rand amount that you will pay instead of a percentage. We believe that a transparent and competitive fee structure, allows you to assess if you are getting value for your money.
4. Wealth management in your preferred language
As the number of English first-language speakers is only the fourth highest of all the language groups in South Africa, it follows that the majority of people discuss their financial decisions in a language that is not their mother-tongue. We believe that if a client cannot really understand the language of instruction, it becomes difficult, if not impossible, to grasp the content of the subject. To make it easier for you we can assist you in most South African languages.

Owen is the founder of Inkunzi Wealth Group and has over 14 years of industry experience. Prior to founding Inkunzi Wealth Group he held various leadership roles at Deutsche Bank, JPMorgan Chase and Citi. He has an Honours degree in Investment Management.
